Impact100 SRQ members can volunteer on any one of the five committees. FAC’s begin to review the grant applications in early July. The FAC’s meet weekly beginning in early August through September and are lead by a Chair. All committee members are expected to read the grant applications that have been submitted to their focus area as well as perform independent research on the non profit organization. Three to four members from the committee will conduct a site visit to the non profit to gather information, evaluate and then report their findings back to the rest of their committee. At the conclusion of this work, the committee will choose the finalist(s) for their focus area. The non profits that are chosen as finalists will present their proposals to our members at the annual celebration. At the annual celebration, each member casts one vote.
Conflict of Interest – All committee members are required to fill out a conflict of interest form. If a member serves on the Board, is an employee, or has a significant relationship with a non profit whose grant is being reviewed by our focus committee, or was personally involved in the 2020 grant application, we will ask that you serve on a different committee. IMPACT100 SRQ will maintain an excellent reputation in the community for the integrity of our process in selecting non profits to receive grants. This policy is necessary in order to maintain the utmost level of fairness to the non profit(s) and to avoid any impropriety or appearance of such.
PLEASE choose to participate on a committee(s) where you are NOT an employee, board member, do not have a significant relationship and or personally involved in the 2020 grant application of any local non profit organization being reviewed by the committee(s).
