PRESIDENT: JANE WATT

Originally from the Hudson Valley area in New York, Jane and her family moved to Sarasota in 2009 from Fishers, IN where she lived for 19 years.  She graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Radford University and is currently an Oncology Sales Specialist with over 28 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.  Jane was inspired by her Mom & Sister to found an Impact 100 chapter, so the journey began for Jane, Tilly & Jodie and her hope is to impact our community, one woman at a time!  Her previous volunteer experience includes:

    VICE PRESIDENT : JODIE ZEREGA

    Originally from Atlanta, Jodie relocated with her family to Sarasota in 2007.  A recruiter by trade with over 25 years of legal recruiting experience, Jodie is the Managing Director and Founder of Zerega Consulting, a Legal Recruiting Boutique
     . Jodie loves spending time with her family and two dogs. She also enjoys photography, decorating and design. Her previous volunteer experience includes:

    Treasurer: Andrea McHenry

    Andrea originally from Morgantown, West Virginia graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. Relocating to Charlotte North Carolina, Andrea spent 16 years as a flight attendant with Piedmont/USAirways. Andrea and her husband Cliff started their family in Charlotte.

    Moving to Sarasota in 2005, Andrea retired from the airlines and was able to stay home and raise her children. During her early years in Florida she was involved in the PTA at Gulf Gate Elementary, holding various roles including secretary, PALS liaison, and fundraising events.
    As a member of Church of the Palms, Andrea has been actively involved with the youth program which has provided her with the opportunity to learn and grow as a Christian alongside middle and high school students. In addition to her weekly involvement with the youth, she has been involved in mission work locally and in Nicaragua for the 5 years, recently leaving that position to further her education.

    Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and experiencing all that Sarasota has to offer.
    In 2012 Andrea went to Nursing School earning her LPN certificate in 2013. She worked for 21st Century Oncology .  She also served as a Board Member and Treasurer for Sarasota Cotillion from 2013-2016.


    Finance: Toni Schemmel

    Born and raised in the Chicago area, Toni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois as well as a MBA in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago.
    Toni and her husband, Joel, left Chicago in 1995 and spent one year in Sofia, Bulgaria and the next 7 years in Prague, Czech Republic. During their stay Toni held positions at Sprint Bulgaria, KPMG in the Czech Republic and was an adjunct professor at The American University in Bulgaria. They relocated to Sarasota in 2003 with their 3 young boys nearing school age.  
    As a licensed Realtor, Toni has served as Regional Marketing Director for Premier Sotheby’s International Realty as well as her current role within the Schemmel Property Group as marketing coordinator. Toni enjoys time spent with her family and her now grown sons, especially time spent at the beach, on the water or skiing in Colorado.  Toni's previous board affiliations include:

    Secretary: Joanna Benante

    Originally from Marietta, GA, Joanna spent 13 years in Chicago before settling in Sarasota in 2007.  She has been a Licensed Realtor with Michael Saunders & Co since 2007. Joanna enjoys living life to the fullest in Sarasota and with her husband, 2 sons, and her extended Sarasota/Tampa family.  Her community service includes: 

    Currently serves on the Pastoral Advisory Council of Church of St. Patrick
    Member & Secretary for the Board of Directors for the Cotillion Club of Sarasota 2014-2017
    Member, Secretary & Enrollment Committee Chair of the Board of Directors for St. Martha Catholic School 2012-2016
    Previously was an active volunteer with Literacy Volunteers of America, Junior League of Chicago, and participated in other diverse volunteer work in Atlanta, Chicago & Sarasota

    MEMBERSHIP RECRUITING: BRIGITTE SUTTMILLER

    Originally from Michigan, relocated with her family to Sarasota in 1974. Brigitte graduated from USF with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and International Affairs degree.  She has been in the Pharmaceuticals industry for 25 yrs and is currently a Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Rep, currently at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals.  Brigitte has been involved with many non-profit organizations including the United Way, American Heart Association and the Ronald McDonald House, as well as volunteering for many activities at the local elementary school with PTO and Sea-camp projects 2010-2014.  Brigitte is a first generation Argentinian-American and enjoys spending time with her 2 sons and enjoys, physical fitness, fishing, boating, cooking and traveling.


     MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT : MELISSA TOMASSO 

    Melissa hails from Ft. Myers, Florida, and attended the University of Central Florida graduating with a B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in public Relations/advertising.  She has worked for Universal Studios, Cypress Gardens and the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Melissa taught at U.S. Space Camp while attending college and later, earned her private pilot’s license.  She is currently a substitute teacher with Sarasota County Public Schools and brings her knowledge of the space program to life with programs in the classrooms. Melissa is married with a son attending UCF and daughter in high school. Board affiliations include:

      COMMUNICATIONS: DIANNA MANOOGIAN

      Originally from Massachusetts, Dianna relocated to Sarasota with her family in 2010.Owner of Salt of the Earth Sarasota. Salt Therapy, Holistic & Wellness center. 2017-present. Founder/CEO of MWS.com Inc. 2014- present Worked for several Technology start-ups in the Boston area, focusing on Customer & Partner Program Management, Globalization and Operations Manager roles. PTO, events coordinator, St. Stephen's Armenian School 2005-2010

      Dianna enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling, golf and alternative healing.


      COMMUNICATIONS: TONYA GETZEN-GOWAN 

      Tonya has lived in Sarasota since 1976. She earned a B.A. degree from the University of South Florida, College of Arts & Letters to begin a career at Fortune 500 Tropicana Products, Inc. rising to Senior Manager, Sales Relations.  In 1992 she co-founded and served as an operating partner of the successful Gecko's Grill & Pub restaurants, growing the local chain from one restaurant/bar to nine properties with over 400 employees.  In 2014 she divested and assisted local entrepreneurs Molly and David Jackson in sales and marketing relations with New Balance Sarasota, New Balance University Park, Fleet Feet Sarasota and Molly's! Boutique.

      Tonya demonstrates a commitment to community by shopping local and volunteering with area non-profits. She actively supports Suncoast Blood Bank, Forty Carrots Family Center, Impact 100 SRQ, RADical Healing, Inc. and Church of the Palms where she has served as an elder.  When not working or giving back to her community you will find Tonya dancing, playing billiards with friends, enjoying her two dogs and most importantly, serving as a proud mom to her 19-year-old-son.

      Nonprofit Liaison: Sarah Lodge

      Sarah is an Associate VP Financial Advisor with RBC Wealth Management and has been in the industry since 2004.  She is a Certified Financial Planner and holds a series 7,66 & 31 security, health and life insurance license.  She and her husband have 3 children and enjoy cooking, traveling and being outdoors boating, fishing swimming, running, biking or relaxing and reading on the beach.  Her community service and accomplishments include:

      Extensive volunteering in our community over the years. Her most recent services are V.P. of Rotary Foundation Sarasota, Past President of Junior League Sarasota, Education Foundation of Sarasota, St. Jude Foodlosophy and Sarasota Memorial Health Care Foundation Golf Committee.

        EVENTS: SANNIE BRANDER

        Born in Trinidad, W.I., Sannie moved to Queens, N.Y. at the age of 7. In 1977 she moved to Bradenton, FL. She now resides in Sarasota. Moving to Marietta, GA in 1989, Sannie was a certified Chiropractic Assistant and X-ray Technician.  Returning to the Bradenton/Sarasota area in 1993, Sannie began working in Pediatrics as a Medical Registrar/Medical Records Director. She has been with Meyer Pediatrics for the last 15 years. Sannie and her husband are proud parents of their teenage boy/girl twins. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as scrapbooking, traveling and interior design.

        Previously an active volunteer at local elementary, middle and high schools.  

        Board member for Women in Chiropractic, Life College School of Chiropractic 1990-1992.

        EVENTS: CHERYL BALLINGER


        Cheryl, originally born in Grand Rapids, Michigan considers herself from Cincinnati, Ohio, where her 3 children and 5 grandchildren reside. She moved to the Sarasota area in 2017.

        Cheryl has her degree from Xavier University in Radiologic Science.In 2001, she changed careers from the health care services to open her own photography business focusing on personal portraits and events. Cheryl has worked for 15 years on various fund raising events throughout the Cincinnati area and is looking forward to getting involved in the Sarasota community. Cheryl enjoys golf, quilting, entertaining and anything that is creative!

        Advisory: Matilde ("Tilly") Valls McFadden    

        Tilly, a first generation Cuban-American, considers herself fortunate to have lived in many amazing places including Mexico, Belgium, France and Spain. In 2001, after living in Philadelphia, her hometown, she was delighted to make Sarasota her home. Tilly enjoys time with her husband, four kids, extended family and friends. Her passions include travel, swimming, hiking and discovering new interests.  Some of Tilly's business experience, skills, and community service includes:

           FOCUS AREAS: AMY TUPPER

          Originally from Connecticut, Amy relocated to Sarasota in 2015. She worked for many years in the health insurance industry before moving on to build a successful health and fitness business.  Amy is a Realtor with Michael Saunders & Co. and she enjoys spending time with her family enjoying life and exploring all that beautiful Sarasota has to offer. Her community service includes:

            GOVERNANCE: EILEEN ROSENZWEIG


          Originally from upstate New York, Eileen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bentley College in Waltham     MA.  From college she worked for General Electric in Roanoke VA and Schnectady NY. In 1987 after 7 years with   GE, Eileen decided she would rather own her own business and moved to Sarasota, FL with her late husband Tim   and purchased a Sir Speedy Print Signs and Marketing.  Eileen has grown her business to become the third largest   Sir Speedy in the country and was Franchisee of the year in 2003 and 2018. Eileen has twin daughters presently in   college. Eileen is an enthusiastic supporter of many small, local non profits.

          COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT : JAMIE BLACK

          Jamie was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she studied for 2 years at the University of Pittsburgh before enrolling at Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy.  Immediately after completing the massage therapy program, Jamie and her husband Doug, relocated to Sarasota...that was over 15 years ago.  Jamie worked as a massage therapist for 9 years before becoming a stay at home mom to her 2 young children, Lucas and Kendal.  During that time, Jamie became active in the elementary PTO and gave many hours to volunteering.  Jamie is now a Mortgage Loan Officer and still gives many hours volunteering in the community.

          DIRECTOR OF GRANTS: HEATHER RIPPY

          Originally from Tulsa Oklahoma, Heather Rippy moved to Sarasota in 2016 with her husband and two daughters. Heather is a licensed real estate agent with Michael Saunders & Co and her professional resume includes work with the United Nations International School (in NYC), NYC public schools, and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida in Naples, FL. She has bachelor degrees in Botany and French from the University of Oklahoma, and Masters degrees in Science Education and International Development - both from Columbia University. In 2006 Heather started her dream nonprofit, Global Gardens, in Tulsa and worked as the Executive Director for ten years. She continues to contribute to this meaningful initiative as a consultant. Heather loves being outdoors, enjoying the beach, sailing, gardening, and paddle boarding.
